Counter the aging effects of the sun by using oils and creams the right way
Increase your hydration!…Increase your protection! To fight the aging effects of our fierce summer sun, make sure you use cream first and oil second. But why? Well, let’s look at how creams and oils work on your skin.
A cream’s purpose is to hydrate and protect the skin. A cream is a mixture or ‘emulsion’ of different fats (aloe based in CELL Infuse products) and other ingredients to bring youth back into the dermis area.
While a cream drives moisture into the skin, fatty oils and ingredients like vegetable-derived glycerin prevent the water from evaporating. This hydration boost means that skin cells retain moisture, leaving your skin supple, healthy and glowing. Additional actives can also target specific skin needs for you. However, the results may be less visible than with oil.
Should you apply oil or cream first?
The question we get asked so often! So, understand the role of each – hydrate (creams) then hold it all in (oils) – and watch that ‘Face to die for’ begin to appear!
Oil should always be applied after your cream or moisturiser. This is because oils are able to penetrate moisturisers, but not the other way around. So even if you apply a cream first, the actives and nutrients in your facial oil will still be able to get to work on your skin.
