I never stop “researching the research” and today I want to talk more about increasing Collagen production.
Collagen is the most plentiful protein in the skin, that makes up 75% – 80% of our skin.
In another article “Can we Halt the Deterioration of Collagen?” I spoke about the effects of Collagen deterioration and how it impacts significantly on our ability to become a Super Ager.
3 ways to Increase Collagen Production in Your Skin
I am so very passionate about how we can increase Collagen in our skin and that is why I added the Collagen Elixir to the CELL Infuse range of products.
The Collagen Elixir, with a number of Plant Extracts, is 100% natural having gone through a unique extraction process to keep the Elixir very potent and active, and also to retain one of the highest sources of Vitamin C available.
It is also packed with powerful polyphenols and their derivatives. These extracts are changing the direction of natural skincare enormously.
In addition to Vitamin C, Here are two other ways to help rebuild Collagen…
Tone Your Skin with this Heart Nutrient…
Many people think of CoQ10 as a supplement you take orally. But you can also use it topically.
You see, CoQ10 is a small molecule that easily penetrates the skin’s surface. It gets down to the living layers of the epidermis. It absorbs quickly into your skin cells. A Japanese study found that applying CoQ10 to skin cells boosts the production of a special type of collagen that connects your skin’s outermost epidermis layer to its deeper dermis.
It anchors your skin so it doesn’t sag and wiggle around. It visibly reduces crow’s feet and wrinkles.
Rose Hip Oil contains retinoic acid. It can help tighten skin and improve elasticity. It also helps reverse collagen damage.
In a double-blind, placebo-controlled study published in the New England Journal of Medicine, daily use of retinoic acid increased collagen production by 80%.
Vitamin C
As I have said on many occasions, one of the best ways to replenish lost collagen is Vitamin C. Duke University researchers found that Vitamin C boosts Collagen production regardless of age.
And the best source of Vitamin C that I’ve found for your skin is Camu Camu. It helps rebuild collagen to firm your skin and smooth fine lines and wrinkles. I enjoy Camu Camu in a powder form. Look for it online and in your health food store.
I like to add the dried powder to my Protein shake of a morning. Start off slowly then increase over time. It is considered we can consume up to 3,000 mg a day from supplements and food and that will help to produce Collagen to repair and rebuild your skin.
Today I have put three powerful Collagen building products together for you to see the benefits of increased Collagen production personally. The CELL Infuse Rejuvenol 3 pack is the ideal combination of products to strengthen and repair, returning firmness, elasticity and youthfulness. One of nature’s superior antioxidants, vitamin E stops visible signs of skin-hungry free radicals ravaging our dermis. Our bodies don’t produce this sublime moisturizer and anti-inflammatory, so we use capsules and serum to invite it in. Triple bonus: Vitamin E doubles as a delivery system by helping our skin absorb other phenomenal ingredients in particular Vitamin C.

The stimulating deliciousness of oranges is not only great for your insides but works wonders on your skin too. Who knew? Vitamin C is a great attacker of fine lines, wrinkles and scars on its own; but it also leads collagen, elastin and Vitamin E straight to the charge. Vitamin E actually depletes during its battle with free radicals; but luckily Vitamin C regenerates those energy levels. Vitamin C also helps stimulate the cells that produce those lovely, anti-aging friends named collagen and elastin.
One of nature’s superior antioxidants, Vitamin E stops visible signs of skin-hungry free radicals ravaging our dermis. Our bodies don’t produce this sublime moisturiser and anti-inflammatory, so we use capsules and lotions to invite it in. Triple bonus: Vitamin E doubles as a delivery system by helping our skin absorb other great ingredients. How amazing is that?
Pomegranate oil is rich in omega 5 fatty acids which penetrate deep into your skin and go through the skin layers to hydrate well. While it’s penetrating, it also protects the outer layer from sun and environmental damage, boosts new cell production in the skin’s inner layers, softens your skin, and assists with collagen and elastin for increased production. A pomegranate’s ability to do just about everything makes it one of the best skincare ingredients for a radiant complexion.
Drink it, bathe in it or moisturise your skin with it. Green tea and oxidative stress (which those icky free radicals cause), have an antagonistic relationship. Fortunately, green tea wins when they have a confrontation making oxidative stress run away and wrinkled, saggy skin stay on the sidelines for another day. As an anti-inflammatory, it also kicks inflammation (another skin ager), to the curb.
Our bodies host enzymes that survive by sucking on collagen and elastin. As we age, they multiply and have great appetites, but white tea, however, places the enzymes on a strict diet by inhibiting their cravings. White tea also lets loose its catechins and powerhouse antioxidants, to slow down the appearance of wrinkles by giving a lecture to free radicals who get bored and run away.
You might better recognise ubiquinone by the name
Grandma was more right than she knew in touting veggies as good for you, so the next time you’re at the grocers load up on cucumbers. As eye pads, this delicious green vegetable refreshes puffy, tired eyes which can add years to your appearance. Cucumbers are rich in Vitamin E and potassium which also help in fighting fine lines and wrinkles, and their cleansing properties soften the skin and increase its suppleness.

It’s my passion and tugs on the core of my being to write to you today. What exciting times we live in in terms of discovering what some have known for centuries.

The most famous Vitamin C tale involves a group of sailors who ran out of oranges at sea and suffered terrible scurvy. What’s less well known (and maybe less macho) is that those sailors also would have had terrible skin.
In response, researchers recently provided a Vitamin C derivative to people and found that it helped activate several genes involved in skin regeneration. Since Vitamin C can protect and repair your skin, it’s best to apply it in the morning and then again in the evening after cleansing.
No matter how well you care for your skin, there are times when your complexion needs extra help. We now know one of the best ways to get that glow is with a Vitamin C Serum.
Vitamin E is an outstanding anti-aging nutrient. It inhibits the effects of ultraviolet light, helping to keep free radicals from damaging your skin. It also prevents scarring, smooths the appearance of existing wrinkles, and fights skin inflammation. Plus, Vitamin E works in powerful synergy with vitamin C. Together; these antioxidant vitamins form a chemical bond that shields your skin from the ravages of sun, smoke and air pollution. In fact, studies show that Vitamin E turbocharges the benefits of Vitamin C by an impressive 400%!
Panthenol, otherwise known as Vitamin B5, is a member of the B-complex family – and one of the best vitamins for skin health. Vitamin B5 is a natural hydrator that can moisturize, soothe and regenerate skin. As a result, it can make dry skin smoother and more elastic. But that’s not all. Panthenol is also a potent natural anti-inflammatory that eases irritation and inflammation. In fact, studies show it can speed the healing of skin wounds by 30%.
