Hyaluronic Acid : A Super Anti-Aging Skin Care Ingredient

It might be one of the most powerful skin care ingredients available today. Hyaluronic AcidIt stimulates the production of skin cells to heal wounds, and it can absorb massive amounts of water. It’s called Hyaluronic Acid and it is a truly remarkable anti-aging ingredient.

Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a very long chain of sugar molecules strung together (like starch). It is made throughout the body and is placed in the areas between your cells, where it absorbs and holds water to act as a cushion for your body’s tissues. Injections of this compound have been used to help fill in known as wrinkles, as it temporarily increases the volume of the skin, creating fuller, more plump looking skin. Because of this, Hyaluronic Acid is sometimes injected into lips to create that full, pouty appearance.

Fortunately, hyaluronic acid can achieve these results by being applied directly to the skin, eliminating the need for injections. Recent medical studies in the scientific community have found that Hyaluronic Acid liquid can be either applied to the skin or ingested to counteract the effects of aging. Hyaluronic Acid can be found naturally in most every cell in the body, but it is found in the greatest concentrations in the skin tissue.

Hyaluronic Acid Chemical Structure Almost fifty percent of the body’s Hyaluronic Acid is found in the skin tissue, both in the deep underlying dermal areas as well as the visible epidermal top layers. As one of the skin’s natural moisturizing elements, HA binds and holds water in the skin, enhancing the skin’s elasticity.

Hyaluronic acid has an amazing ability to hold more water than any other substance. It plays an important role in tissue hydration, lubrication and cellular function. In normal human skin, Hyaluronic Acid is a vital constituent of the epidermis.

After significant testing, the beauty and dermatology industries have taken notice of the benefits and scientific studies regarding
the benefits of Hyaluronic Acid liquid and its ability to rejuvenate the skin’s youthful properties and reduce wrinkles.

Hyaluronic Acid is a key component of the collagen matrix that gives structure and elasticity to your skin.
As you age, your body loses its ability to create effective Hyaluronic Acid which contributes to the loss of elasticity seen in aging skin.

You see, your skin consists of several layers. Skin Section Hyaluronic AcidThe top layer, the epidermis, is what people see when they look at you. And it gets a lot of abuse from the environment, but in spite of what most people think, this is not where wrinkles come from. The layer underneath, the dermis, is a network of connective tissue and muscles. This is where wrinkles start. This is the layer the LifeCell cream goes down into.

When you’re young, your body makes a water-sponging molecule called hyaluronic acid (HA). It can absorb around 1,000 times its weight in water. This is why a baby’s face is so round and soft – it has plenty of HA, so it’s full of moisture!

When you have a lot of HA in your dermis, it helps keep your skin looking full and smooth. But as you age, you make less and less HA, and you lose some volume. That’s when you begin to see those lines and wrinkles looking back at you from your reflection.

We are so excited that Collagen Booster contains Hyaluronic Acid.
This scientifically formulated product will help to ensure sure your skin stays elastic and young looking for years to come.

Shortcut to Happiness

Shortcut To Happiness

If you’re already in a relationship or you’re looking for your “soul mate,” you can only make things better for both of you if you’re happy within yourself, not dependent on someone else to “make” you happy. In fact, studies show that happily married couples live longer, healthier lives than single people. So, how can you just “make yourself happy?” Try these tips for a new attitude that just may make you, and those around you, smile more often.

Aging Backwards Happy Tips:

Volunteer. Numerous scientific studies show that acts of kindness can result in significant mental and physical health benefits. Helping can bring on a rush of euphoria, followed by a longer period of calm, often called a “helper’s high” that releases the body’s natural painkiller, endorphins, thus reversing feelings of depression, hostility and stress. The greater the frequency of volunteering, the greater the health benefits. Keep in mind these statistics:

Bring Happiness To Others

Personal contact with the people being helped is important.
Helper’s high results most from helping people we don’t know.
Regular club attendance, volunteering, entertaining or faith group attendance is the happiness equivalent of getting a college degree or more than doubling your income.

Fake a smile. Charles Schaefer, psychology professor at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, New Jersey, found in his research that even self-imposed smiling and forced laughter can boost mood and psychological well-being tremendously. “Phony laughter works because your body doesn’t know it’s fake, even though your brain might,” he says. “Once the brain signals the body to laugh, the body doesn’t care why. It’s going to release endorphins; it’s going to relieve stress as a natural physiological response to the physical act of laughing,” he adds.

Keep Smiling

Express gratitude, often. According to Tal Ben-Shahar, author and lecturer at Harvard University. “We too often take our lives for granted. Learn to appreciate and savor the wonderful things in life, from people to food, from nature to a smile.” He is the author of numerous books including, Happier: Learn the Secrets to Daily Joy and Lasting Fulfillment (2007).

Once you find your own inner happiness, you’ll be surprised at how other areas in your life will start to blossom. You’ll treat others differently, people will react differently to you and you could take your romantic relationship to a whole new level.

What is Retinol?

Retinol

Retinol is an active form of Vitamin A that is used in some skin care products to reduce the effects of ageing and improve skin health. Vitamin A is a potent antioxidant, and works to protect your skin from free radicals, generates cell growth, and repairs damaged cells. It’s one of the few substances small enough to penetrate the outer layers of your skin and work its way down to the lower layers where collagen and elastin reside.

Retinol Chemical Structure

Because of its potent nature, retinol is sometimes found in serums and anti-aging creams. While you can absorb Vitamin A through foods such as carrots, kale, and sweet potato, applying retinol straight onto your skin instantly speeds up the process.
If you’re looking to minimize fine lines and wrinkles, improve your skin’s texture, and protect against dryness and redness, then look for a cream such as LifeCell that contains this special ingredient.

LifeCell anti-ageing cream is specially formulated using natural skin care ingredients that work powerfully to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and reverse all the signs of ageing.

Along with Retinol, LifeCell also contains : Dithiolane-3-Pentanic Acid Anti-Inflammatory & Anti-Oxidant (D3PA), Ascorbyl Palmitate, Ubiquinone (Super Anti-Oxidant), Acetyl Hexapeptide-3 and Deanol (Muscle Toning and Firmness Activator).

Mineral Makeup Impostors Can Contain Dangerous Additives

Mineral Makeup

Thanks to infomercials and the Internet, you’ve probably already heard how mineral makeup can be a healthier choice for your skin. But that’s only true if you’re using the real thing.

“Mineral” has become a buzzword…and a lot of brands out there are trying to jump on the bandwagon.
But some hardly contain any healthy minerals at all. And they’ve got dangerous additives that can irritate your skin and clog your pores.

They can even make you look older!

Take a look at just a few of the toxins I found in popular “mineral” foundations:

Dangerous Chemicals In MakeupParabens. Used as preservatives, parabens are nothing but toxins that can disrupt your hormones. I switched to mineral makeup to avoid them…so I was shocked to see them on the labels of so many “mineral” formulas. You’ll see them listed as methylparaben, ethylparaben, propylparaben and butylparaben.Talc. One study showed that inhaling talc can irritate the lungs and lead to breathing problems. That’s reason enough for me to avoid mineral powders with talc.Bismuth oxychloride. This ingredient is not found in nature. It’s made by combining water, chloride (from chlorine) and a by-product of lead smelting. Lots of brands use it as a filler. When it gets warm on your skin, it can cause itching and irritation, especially for those with sensitive skin and rosacea. It’s been known to cause rashes on very delicate complexions.Dimethicone. In some women, this silicone compound can cause a mild rash or tingling sensation…and even irritate acne-prone skin.Micronized minerals. Some mineral makeup is made with very small particles—or even nanoparticles.
These microscopic particles are more likely to be absorbed right into the skin, instead of remaining on the surface.
There’s growing concern that this could be hazardous. These smaller particles also have a way of settling into fine lines,
which magnifies the look of wrinkles.

Chemical coatings. Here’s where it gets even trickier. Some brands start out with great mineral ingredients…but then they coat them in chemicals as a preservative! And the law doesn’t require this to be listed on the label.Mineral Make Up

I’m not comfortable with the idea of covering my face in toxins that aren’t good for me…especially since I wear makeup for 12 to 16 hours every day. Do manufacturers think we’re too busy to notice what’s in there?

When you think about how much effort you’ve put into finding just the right LifeCell cleansers and creams…why should you have to ruin all that hard work by using a makeup loaded with toxins?

Wouldn’t it be better if the makeup you wear every minute of the day made your skin healthier?
So check out your mineral makeup and be sure you have none of the above ingredients.

The Structure of Human Skin

Human Skin

Skin forms the largest organ of the body – accounting for about 16 per cent of a person’s weight. It performs many vital roles as both a barrier and a regulating influence between the outside world and the controlled environment within our bodies. The evaporation of sweat from the skin greatly increases the rate at which heat can be lost from the body. The physical toughness of the skin prevents the ingress of harmful chemicals and invading organisms, such as bacteria and viruses. It also provides resistance to shocks for the more sensitive tissues underneath. At the same time, skin needs to be supple and be able to stretch to accommodate movement.

Skin exposed to sunlight is the main site of manufacture of vitamin D, which is essential for the growth and maintenance of our bones. The extensive network of nerves, within the skin, feeds information constantly to the brain concerning our surroundings. On the one hand we are warned of harmful extremes of temperature or of other dangers – while on the other, touch can be one of the most powerfully soothing and pleasurable of sensations.

Much importance is attached to the appearance of skin, especially in our modern society. Conditions affecting the skin can have marked effects, not only on our state of well being but also on the ways we interact with other people, on our suitability for certain occupations and on the sorts of pastimes we can enjoy. So it’s important to understand the importance of good skin care routines for maintaining and improving skin health. Natural products that work in harmony with the skin are the best option for skin rejuvenation.

The structure of human skin is complex, but can be divided into 3 main layers : Epidermis, Dermis, Hypodermis (Subcutaneous Tissue).

                          Human Skin Structure

Epidermis
is the uppermost layer consisting of several layers of cells. The first few layers of cell are dead. The cells beneath them divide and add new cells. Since the uppermost layer of the cell consists of dead cells. They don’t have any blood supply. The lowest part of the epidermis needs blood supply as it needs raw materials to grow and divide. The cell contains certain pigments that give color to the skin. Our skin depends on amount of pigment present in the layers. The pigment is called melanin.

Dermis is the lower layer. It is tough and a strong. I gets rich supply of blood and lymph. You will also find roots of hair embedded in this layer. The crown of the hair over looks the epidermis. Associated with root hair and opening of the cavity (follicle) are the sebaceous glands or oil glands. They keep the hair smooth and soft. You will also find number of sweat glands, when you see the skin with a lens. The sweat glands filter the fluid or sweat from the blood that circulated through the capillaries.

Hypodermis – Subcutaneous Tissue

The subcutaneous tissue is a layer of fat and connective tissue that houses larger blood vessels and nerves. This layer is important is the regulation of temperature of the skin itself and the body. The size of this layer varies throughout the body and from person to person.

  Layers Of Skin

The skin is a complicated structure with many functions. If any of the components in the skin are not working properly, a rash or abnormal sensation is the result. The whole specialty of dermatology is devoted to understanding the skin, what can go wrong, and what to do if something does go wrong. Dermatologists also study the ageing of skin and research the most effective treatments for wrinkles, lines, age spots, crows feet, etc.

They have identified a powerful solution for treating the signs of aging and restoring healthy, smooth skin. It’s called LifeCell. An all-in-one anti ageing cream that has the ability to make skin appear younger and more vibrant, while also providing deep nutrition and rejuvenation to the skin. Etiquette Tips for the Modern Woman

Modern Etiquette

In today’s modern world, women face many challenges that can affect the way they’re perceived by others.
Being a modern day beauty involves taking care of all aspects of your appearance and behaviour.
These simple etiquette tips will help you present yourself in the best possible light.

Look more luminous

Taking good care of your skin is the first step to acting like a modern beauty. Yet a new survey by Pond’s reveals
that more than 40 percent of women do not wash their face every night before they go to bed. That means they are
not removing make-up and other impurities that can clog pores and dull skin’s natural radiance, causing it to look less luminous.

Be perfectly punctual

Modern Business Woman

“Fashionably late” is no longer in style. While it used to be a trademark of those in demand, in today’s busy world, it can be perceived as just plain rude. Regardless of the circumstance, whether it is an appointment for a haircut or a dinner date, it is important to always be on time. Being punctual remains a sign of respect and modern beauties have an edge by remembering this and setting themselves apart from the “sorry I’m late!” crowd.

Primp in private

While modern beauties should always be prepared for a beauty emergency, it is important not to primp in public.
A quick dab of lipstick at the table with friends is okay, but do not bring out the brushes, pencils, floss or wands.
Always take touch-ups to the ladies room when dining out for business.

Demonstrate social (media) graces

Modern Woman

Every modern beauty has to deal with a bad day or unanticipated incident from time to time – long lines, flight delays, fashion mishaps – but no one likes a complainer. Keep it positive on social media. With so many professional contacts now having access to coworkers’ personal pages, it is smart to resist the urge to vent in public and confide in a close friend instead.

Date like a pro

When it comes to a first date, a modern beauty keeps her credit card discreetly at her fingertips. While in the past gentlemen were expected to pick up the bill, today’s woman should come ready to cover her half just in case. No love connection in sight? A friendly and clear “Thanks, but I’m not interested,” is the easiest way to politely let someone down. A modern beauty keeps it simple and short without a need for lengthy explanations.

Have a Youthful Day,

Judy.

Reduce the Age of Your Skin? Let’s help you…

Reduce The Age Of Your Skin

Most of the women I know get a big thrill when somebody pegs their age as much younger than it truly is. A single 5-year deduction in age can put a smile on their face for days. After all, who doesn’t like to find themselves on the receiving end of a compliment like that?

Even I get a kick out of the times I’m told I look younger than my years. It’s simple human nature. We feel young, we think young, we act young… and we want to LOOK young, for as long as possible.

If you read the ads in women’s magazines, you’d think the world is full of anti-aging serums that will make you look young, beautiful, and sexy.

But none of those products works to promote cellular rejuvenation the way LifeCell does.

LifeCell Cream helps to maintain the lifespan of your skin cells with ingredients to help erase the signs of aging
and revive the youth and radiance of younger years.

Look at these results of women in clinical trials :

Top Tips for Luscious Lips

LipstickLadies, where would we be without our makeup?

Famous makeup guru Max Factor once said, “A woman who doesn’t wear lipstick feels undressed in public. Unless she works on a farm.”

And TIME magazine reported as far back as 1958 that, “The beauty industry fears no recession, for a woman will give up food before her pursuit of beauty – and often because of it.”

Apparently, things haven’t changed much since then. Fifty years later, beauty retail website feelingunique.com asked 1,000 women in the UK about their shopping habits. They found that nearly one in three female respondents said they would prefer to eat less than reduce their spending on “essential” beauty items.

In the survey, 75 percent of the women considered makeup and body treatments as “everyday essentials” rather than luxury items

.Cleopatra

So, how did we get to this place? Well, the desire to look beautiful and adorn the face is nothing new. In fact, the origin of lipstick dates back to 5,000 BC in the Sumerian region of Ur, according to Jessica Pallingston, author of Lipstick: A Celebration of a Girl’s Best Friend.

Ancient Egyptians loved lip paints and were masters at mixing color and precise application, Pallingston also maintains. Perhaps the most famous Egyptian woman, Cleopatra, was said to have used crushed ants and carmine beetles, which gave a deep red pigment, to adorn her lips.

Here are a few of my Aging Backwards tips for lips:

Lipstick Colours

Tone it down. It may seem counter-intuitive, but as we age, we actually need less makeup, not more, according to Bruce Grayson, celebrity makeup artist for both the Emmy awards and the Oscars. Instead of bright or dark lipstick, stick with a color that closely matches your natural shade and brush some clear gloss over it for a fresh, young daytime look. For evening, opt for a deeper shade of the daytime color and a tinted gloss.

Go blue. To make teeth look dazzling white, choose lip colors with blue undertones, such as the lightest shades of wine, plum, or rosy pink. Skip the orange and coral lip colors – they can make teeth appear yellow.

Exfoliate. Skin on the lips is delicate, but still needs to be exfoliated. My favorite trick is to use a clean toothbrush – minus the toothpaste, of course – to lightly brush my lips and exfoliate dead cells.

Remember the lip liner. Outlining the lips with liner gives a more finished look to them and also keeps lipstick from “feathering” outside the natural lip line. My shortcut: I line my lips with a color that matches my natural lip color, then fill it in over the entire lip area. Then, I put a light gloss right over that, skipping lipstick altogether for a natural look that stays on longer.

Here’s to staying youthful.

My Journey of Self-Empowerment – By Judy Mills

The first forty years of my life involved many twists and turns and presented me with many lessons to learn…
Eventually I reached a point where I knew I had to own what was happening to my health and take full control to heal my body and mind on all levels.

At fifteen years of age I was diagnosed with Poly Arthritis forcing me to leave school, due to the inability to write.
My body was completely challenged; particularly my arms which were so severely affected.

In my thirties I had a tumor in my lung and rib cage, then had a hysterectomy in my late thirties….All the while I never felt well ….I was just existing …

In my forties, I owned and ran businesses, led a stressful life without a lot of balance, (obviously running on adrenal stress, not truly managing my life as we should under these circumstances).

Then at the age of 51, I was biologically over 100 years old with cancerous cells …This was a true wake up call!! And this time I knew it was up to me. I had to take responsibility to heal and change my life in so many ways and on so many levels.

I sold my last business in late 1998, then I was fortunate to have the time to continue to heal and empower myself with knowledge and research, and truly take charge of my own destiny.

I became extremely interested in health care and also anti-aging and at that time my research took me to work with one of the leading anti-aging practitioners in Australia. I was like a sponge; learning, studying and soaking up knowledge. How could we bring the youth back into our bodies? Could we have them functioning biologically many years younger than our chronological age?

I continue to search and share our findings with you and I know that when we find the right balance holistically…Wow!!

Judy & Team
