Red Bull, Rockstar and Monster energy drinks…

Let’s look at today what is taking place with advertising.

Red Bull, Rockstar and Monster energy drinks…

The Big Retail push to sell you these drinks comes with false promises AND health risks.

A recent study published in the Journal of the American Heart Association found that caffeinated energy drinks alter the heart’s electrical activity and raised blood pressure.

The World Health Organization says they may pose danger to public health.

For instance, they promise to give you the energy you need to get through the day by providing super megadoses of B vitamins.

Unfortunately, it’s just not true.
The quick pick-me-up in the beverages typically comes from their fake caffeine content and high levels of sugar. It’s true that B vitamins are essential to your body’s energy metabolism. And vitamin B12 in particular is crucial for energy.

When you take in high-quality B12, you unlock the energy contained in the foods you eat and turn it into glucose you can burn. But fortified junk food is no way to get your vitamins. In a minute, I’m going to show you a better way…

Energy Drinks
Red Bull, Rockstar, and Monster energy drinks
But let’s take a look at how important vitamin B12 really is — especially as you age.

First, your body’s ability to absorb vitamin B diminishes as you get older. So, you may need vitamin B supplements, even shots, if you are deficient.

A straightforward blood test can determine your vitamin B levels.

And as you age, your digestive tract no longer produces a protein called gastric “intrinsic factor.” This protein binds to vitamin B12 so that your body can absorb it.

If you are deficient in vitamin B12, you may experience:

  1. Memory loss, impaired thinking and general cognitive difficulties.
  2. Fatigue and weakness.
  3. Trouble walking and balance problems.
  4. Numbness or tingling in your hands, legs or feet.
  5. Vision problems
  6. When you don’t get enough B12, your body can’t get energy out of your food.
  7. It also can’t form healthy red blood cells. And the result is low energy, weakness and fatigue.

My love is for you to learn the truth.

Even though we produce skincare, our diet has a direct impact on our overall health.

I do hope you find this information of value.  I look forward to hearing your feedback in the comment section below.

Reduce disease! Have beautiful skin! Reduce the chance of inflammation!

This week I want to share more about a vitamin, Vitamin D, that I continue to add into our products and the amazing benefits that it is now known to provide. What it can do when it binds directly to our DNA. I’ve often shared information with you how vitamin D is more than a vitamin – it also can work as a hormone. Now in researching even further I learn it is even more than a hormone. New study shows vitamin D binds directly to your DNA, with some amazing previously unknown benefits. So learning the great benefits it gives our bodies and how absorbed it is through topical application of our products I have put even more dense amounts in. This trans-dermal way is the perfect way of absorbing it.

And what do these vitamins do for you when it’s bound to your DNA? The newest Journal of Immunology shows that it stops inflammation. WOW!! WOW!! as you know inflammation is the under lying cause of multiple diseases.

One modern opinion suggest that we should avoid the sun. However, another suggests the sun is vital, but that we should do it safely. To cover up and stay out of the sunshine completely is about the worst advice you could ever take. The trick is, you need to have enough Vit D to activate the process, but to do it safely.

Studies now say Vit D lowers the risk of cancer in post-menopausal women by as much as 77%. This also makes vitamin D possibly the most important nutrient we know of, especially for women. Living in Queensland does have advantages. But with many of us working indoors we just don’t get enough time in the sun. So, use our products and supplement also.

Current national guidelines suggest that you should get a minimum of only 600 IU (International Units) a day. But look what happens when you only get that small amount.

More than half of people with osteoporosis-related fractured had low vitamin D.

  • 63% of people with Crohn’s disease still had low vitamin D even though 40% of them were taking a supplement!
  • An incredible 96% of people who had heart attacks were vitamin D deficient.

The problem is, almost everyone is deficient in Vit D. I’m not exaggerating. One study looked at 1,600 people and found 89% of them had low vitamin D. I could go on and on.

Many people do their best to get in the sun and take supplements. But often their levels of vitamin D are still too low. So the next time you go to your doctor for a check-up ask him to test your level of vitamin D.  It’s a simple, inexpensive test that provides valuable information.

It is suggested you aim for a minimum of 2,000 IU of vitamin D a day. If you get your level tested and it’s low, research suggests between 5,000 and 10,000 IU a day from a variety of sources until you’re levels are back up..

Studies show as little as 10 minutes in the midday sun (safely) produces 10,000 units of vitamin D. You feel instantly better. My husband and I will often catch the sun at lunchtime but every day still takes around 2,000 IU of supplementation.

Eating fish a few times a week will give you a lot of vitamin D, too. You might want to stick with the smaller, cold-water fish like sardines to avoid the mercury in some of the larger fish.

I suggest the D3 form – the bioactive kind of Vit D. But don’t rely on your multivitamin to give you all the vitamin D you need, even if it does have D3. It’s a good start, but most still only have around 400 IU.

Today I am very Happy/proud to say the more I have added Vit D to the CELL INFUSE products, the better the formulation are. And, importantly, in turn you have beauty inside and out. Trans-dermal application of Vitamin D has been shown to be one of the best ways to ensure you receive what your body needs. CELL Infuse has you covered!!

The Queen of Anti-Aging Vitamins

Niacin - Vitamin B3Of all the vitamins out there – there’s one that stands out in keeping you looking young. Interestingly, you might have seen it on ads for things like digestion and athletic performance. Let’s leave your Iron Woman training aside for a moment though and see how great it can be for your skin – Niacin!

Around 7 years ago, I was doing some testing of people’s hearts and looking at their circulation. I would encourage those that required it to take niacin (niacinamide) and ubiquinone (CoQ10 Complex) and their heart health improved significantly in only a few weeks.

However, I also noticed another benefit that took many women by surprise. They developed a great sense of wellbeing and looked years younger. I was seeing first-hand how niacin rejuvenated their skin.

Here’s how it worksniacin benefits skin care

As we get older, our skin dries out. The epidermis and dermis layers become thinner, which leads to wrinkles. Meanwhile, UV rays from the sun oxidise our cells, leaving us with age spots.

Niacin intervenes by promoting the turnover of new skin cells. It repairs sun damage and strengthens the skin’s moisture barrier. All of that creates younger-looking skin.

Niacin repairs DNA, preventing the effects of aging at the source. You’ll generate new, healthy skin cells that replace older cells faster. It also dilates your capillaries which increases blood flow, delivering essential oxygen and nutrients to your skin cells.

niacinamide for youthful appearanceAs if all that wasn’t enough, it boosts skin hydration. Niacin increases the production of ceramides – skin lipids that prevent water loss. Niacin is also known to cool inflamed skin.

When you use a product with topical niacin in it, you’ll notice your skin looking younger and more vibrant. In one study I read, 50 women aged 40 to 60 used a moisturizer with niacinamide for 12 weeks. It significantly improved fine lines, wrinkles, age spots, texture and red blotchiness.

To help you enjoy the benefits of niacin, we created Regenisis Vitamin Serum. It’s rich in niacin along with Vitamin B5, C, E and A, and organic bio-active extracts. This product has made such a difference to not only my skin, but many of our customers. People have found their skin smoother, more youthful and radiant.

Top 3 Foods for all of the Benefits of Good Fats!

benefits of good fatsThis week I want to encourage and share with you why you MUST eat plenty of fat.  At the same time, not just any fat will do… some fats are no good at all, while others have health boosting and fat-burning amazing benefits. Here are three of my favourites that I personally eat just about every day.

Avocados are rich in monounsaturated fats as well as loads of vitamins (E, K and C to mention just a few). Not only that, but they pack a serious fibre punch, 5 grams in just a small half cup!

avocadoBetween the fibre and healthy fat content, you’ll have no problem being sufficiently satisfied for hours after enjoying a delicious avocado. Makes for a great addition to salads or as guacamole! Smashed avocado & feta is popular right now.

Great research is coming through now to ground the avocado stone as people with cancer challenges could have great assistance. Your skin will love it as avocado oil increases the amount of soluble collagen in the skin. This keeps your skin smooth and elastic, and eliminates the tiny fine lines around your eyes.

It also does an amazing job of retaining water in your skin, making it a great moisturizer. I love what I am hearing from the people using the CELL Infuse Body Custard with Avocado Oil in it. Sandra, one of our clients says: ‘In my last order I picked up CELL Infuse Body Custard, I first noticed how rich and silky it felt, along with a beautiful fragrance. As I continued with applying it each day all the dryness on my legs has gone. It looks like my skin on my legs did 15 years ago in my forties.’
I personally always put avocado in my protein shake, it helps to thicken, plus gives my husband and I all the health benefits.

eggs contain good fatsEggs are a great source of fat as well as high quality protein. Just make sure you don’t skip out on the yolk!  Why?  The yolk is by far the most nutritious part of the egg, providing over 11 vitamins and minerals including nearly 100% of the daily RDI of energy-boosting B12 from just 3 eggs daily. They are a great breakfast item, but of course they can be enjoyed at any time of day! This is one of the first solids I gave my girls as babies at 6 months. Egg yolk liquid, what a start in life they received, and in turn they both did it to our six grandchildren.

coconut oil health benefitsCoconut oil is one of the richest sources of perhaps the most beneficial fats known to man, medium chain triglycerides (MCTs). MCTs have been shown to improve brain function, lower cholesterol, improve skin and hair health, and best of all, burns fat! I am putting Coconut Oil into so many of the CELL Infuse skin care products which clients love. The down side can be it may harden a little during the winter months, so be mindful of that. Simply activate to warm with your fingertips. Coconut oil is a hot topic in health and skin care. I use both internally and externally. It can assist in preventing diabetes, boosts your immune system, and can promote a healthy thyroid and more.

So for good health and less fat on the body look at these three foods daily, and enjoy!

Yours in good health,
Judy and Team.

Remove Toxins From The Body

health benefits of magnesiumRecently I had a wonderful visit with my youngest daughter in Adelaide. Every night after story time she said to her boys, seven and five, `Mum will get your lemonade’. At first I was surprised because I knew they didn’t have any lemonade in their home. The answer?

She was giving them Magnesium – a nightly ritual in their home. I absolutely loved seeing my daughter do this for her boys!

Magnesium
has so many wonderful benefits. This is something my husband and I have done every day for years, usually at night, and I would encourage everyone to start their own nightly Magnesium ritual. For best results I recommend sourcing powdered magnesium for quicker digestion and better utilisation throughout your body.

According to the National Academy of Sciences, America is undergoing a Magnesium deficiency and we are no different here in Australia. Magnesium deficiency is increasing rates of heart disease, stroke, obesity, arthritis, osteoporosis, joint pain, digestive problems, stress-related illnesses, and chronic fatigue. The importance of Magnesium to our bodies is huge – it is the second most abundant element in human cells and is accountable for over 325 enzymes. It helps to…

  • Reduce inflammation
  • Improve blood flow
  • Boost oxygenation

Magnesium is even more crucial for sports enthusiasts because it supports muscle and nerve function. Magnesium is known as an excellent de-stressing mineral levelling out excess adrenalin and helping to produce a calming serotonin.

epsom salts magnesium sulfateSomething else I truly love to do is add Magnesium to my bath water. Commonly called Epsom Salt, Magnesium Sulfate gives you a combination of Magnesium and Sulfate. These two minerals work together in a process called reverse osmosis to remove toxins from the body and build key protein molecules in your tissues and joints. The skin is a highly porous membrane, and an Epsom Salt bath gives you a double health benefit – first drawing out the toxins, and then helping the skin absorb the Magnesium and Sulfate. Sulfates are necessary for healthy skin, brain, joints and nerve tissue and help activate the pancreas by triggering the release of digestive enzymes.

How To Take an Epsom Salt Bath

how to take an epsom salt bathExperts advise that you need about 40 minutes to get the true benefits from an Epsom Salt bath. Run a warm bath, and try to use water that is filtered (non-filtered water is full of fluoride, dioxins, and heavy metals that can counteract the detoxifying benefits of Epsom Salt). The first 20 minutes are for pulling out the toxins, and the second 20 minutes are to let the Magnesium and Sulfate soak into your skin. Light some candles going and make the most of this time for you. Enjoy!!

Try it for yourself – the benefits are wonderful!

Vitamin C and skin aging – the science behind it

Vitamin C is not just for eating!

Did you know Vitamin C is essential in combating the aging process on the outside of your body as well as the inside?

Vitamin C for skin careVitamin C is great for our skin in two ways
– it fights free radicals that cause skin to prematurely break down and sag – and – it is essential in the creation and maintenance of collagen in our skin. An impressive array of clinical studies have demonstrated that treating your skin with topical Vitamin C can quickly rejuvenate aging skin – making it look smoother, younger and more vibrant.

The Science is this:

Free radicals are chemically unstable molecules with an unpaired electron, which means they seek out other molecules with an unpaired electron to bond with. Free radicals wreak havoc on our skin because they ‘steal’ electrons from the molecules that make up healthy cell structures – including our collagen proteins. This causes the collagen to break down and causes the skin to sag, lose elasticity and firmness.

Vitamin CFree radical are very hard to completely avoid because they are just about everywhere – we are exposed to them through air pollution, diet, drugs, stress, smoking and even inflammation, excessive exercise and exposure to sunlight.

The good news is that nature has the answer in the humble Vitamin C which can neutralize free radicals before they get a chance to steal from your collagen. A potent antioxidant, vitamin c works by acting as an `electron donor’ – bonding with free radicals on a molecular level to neutralize them before they have a chance to damage the skin.

Vitamin C is also the very nutrient responsible for the creation and maintenance of collagen in our skin – Collagen is a protein that essentially forms the framework that makes skin firm and smooth. We know as we age, the amount of collagen in our skin drastically declines. For this reason Vitamin C is an essential tool for improving collagen levels as we age.

CELL-Infuse-Regenisis-Vitamin-SerumWhich is why I developed the Cell Infuse Regenisis Vitamin Serum here in Australia to include in the LifeCell Australia range. The first task in developing this wonderful anti-aging serum was to find the best Vitamin C available. Why? Because getting the right kind of Vitamin C for your skin is vitally important. Our cutting-edge form of Vitamin C, unlike others, is also lipid-soluble. This gives our Vitamin C the unique ability to penetrate deep into your skin and fight free radicals on a cellular level. Within days you will notice that Cell Infuse Regenisis Vitamin Serum has given you – smoother, firmer, more supple skin – fewer fine lines and wrinkles – reduced dark spots and discolorations – a brighter, more radiant complexion – more even skin colour and tone – better overall skin health.

But Vitamin C is not enough on it’s own to fight against the signs of premature aging, which is why we have included in our Cell Infuse Regenisis Vitamin Serum a range of carefully selected ingredients to support and enhance and unlock the magic of our fabulous Vitamin C. Vitamin B3 and B5 for firmness and increased elasticity, Vitamin E and A and some beautiful Pure Organic extracts to moisturise and de-age the skin.

citrus fruits containing Vitamin CWhy is it so important to apply Vitamin C directly to your skin?

While our skin naturally contains high levels of Vitamin C in youth our levels begin to decline as we age, and it’s hard to replenish. Vitamin C is water-soluble, which means most of the vitamin C we consume is rapidly excreted. This is why consuming Vitamin C is not enough; applying it directly to the skin has been shown to be the most effective way of improving collagen synthesis in the skin.

Good skin means better health

There is something else you should understand about caring for your skin – it’s not just a matter of looking good. Your skin is a protective barrier for your entire body, and its aging not only affects how old you look, but can also expose you to significant health risks such as infection, exposure to environmental chemicals and UV radiation. So it’s vitally important to keep your skin healthy! And research has shown that one of the very best ways to do that is with topically applied vitamin C.

Is your salad dressing making you fat?

salad dressingThese days I consider myself lucky that my husband is our grocery-shopping guru. Which is great because when I do go into a supermarket there are some things that make me really mad – not because they are unhealthy – but because they really shouldn’t be!

So…salad dressings!

Last week I stopped off for an Italian seasoning packet – and it happened to be in the same aisle as a pretty huge range of salad dressings marketed as everything from gourmet to low fat and all natural. So of course, curiosity got the better of me and I started reading the labels… and I didn’t see one with a list of ingredients I would recommend!

And here’s why:

1 – Estrogenic Oils

EstrogenOils like Canola Oil, Soybean Oil and Vegetable Oil are called estrogenic (or oestrogenic) because they are full of inflammation-promoting Omega-6 fatty acids that lead to estrogen excess. This kind of hormone imbalance puts your body in a depressing cycle of storing and gaining weight – particularly around your middle – that can continue no matter how much effort you put into shifting it. Not to mention all the other things that go wrong when your hormones are out of kilter and all the other health risks that have been associated with estrogenic oils from breast and prostate cancers to the early onset of puberty in children.

2 – Trans Fats

trans fatsFats that began life as unsaturated oils but have been so processed they behave worse than natural saturated fats. Put simply, these are oils that have been so processed they contain trans fats, unsaturated fats that behave like saturated fats – only worse. Westerners were consuming these trans fats in everything from doughnuts and store bought cakes to margarine for years before it was recognised how bad for our health they were – increasing our bad cholesterol and risk of heart disease and contributing to type II diabetes and inflammation. They are so bad they are being phased out in both Australia and the USA. But they are not all gone yet, and while it’s easy to see we should avoid store bought cakes and doughnuts – it’s not so easy to see the health risks in a humble bottle of store bought salad dressing.

3) – Tricksters

extra virgin olive oilDon’t be fooled by labels that claim: “Made with Extra Virgin Olive Oil”.  Sure, they’ll point that out on the front of the label because it sounds good and leads you to believe that it’s an extra virgin olive oil based dressing.  They can say that even if there’s only a drop of extra virgin olive oil in the bottle – and often that really is all it is. Have a look at the ingredients listed on the back and you will quickly see the same harmful vegetable oils listed first and extra virgin olive oil …way down the bottom. Is it unethical? Yes it is. Is it healthy? Certainly not. By the way – don’t forget to do the same ingredients check on the ‘all natural’ salad dressings in the supermarket refrigerated section because you will most likely find those same cheap, nasty oils listed there too!

4 – Bad Sugars

high fructose corn syrupMore often than not, in addition to cheap potentially harmful oils, store bought salad dressings are also loaded with sugar. Even worse, it often comes in the form of high fructose corn syrup – the absolute worst form of sugar available. If you research high fructose corn syrup it won’t take you long to see how widely it is used in processed foods and just how bad this massively processed sweetener is for your fat stores and your overall health. Check the label!

5 – Artificial Additives

artificial additivesAs if nasty hormone-hacking oils weren’t enough, most store bought salad dressings are plagued by a long list of artificial additives and preservatives. If you’re looking to avoid artificial chemicals in your food, simply put, you won’t have much luck with store bought salad dressings. My suggestion is to educate yourself, and a great place to start is Peter Taubert’s Your Health and Food Additives. My husband and I have worked alongside Peter and if you’re interested in knowing what effect food additives are having on your health, I can recommend his book.

So now you know why we NEVER buy bottled dressings.

Ever.

Most are horrible for you, and usually that includes the “all natural” versions too.

healthy salad dressingWhich brings me back to the Italian seasoning packet I went to the grocery store for in the first place. Getting the right food into your body doesn’t always have to be difficult. In the case of salad dressing it is okay to use oil as long as you choose the right one. At home we regularly enjoy our salads with a simple dressing made from a little Italian seasoning mixed with red wine vinegar and REAL extra virgin olive oil – it’s easy, delicious and absolutely healthful. So go ahead – drizzle a lovely oil-based vinaigrette over that salad leaf mix, dip some crunchy fresh vegetables in a lovely home made aioli – just make sure you get the oils right first!

The Super Power of Raw Foods

If you’ve been reading my blogs, you already know I LOVE RAW foods, especially organic raw foods. And there’s good reason for my love affair. There are some seriously amazing health benefits in increasing your intake of raw organic vegetables, fruits, nuts and seeds.

I love raw foodBut if you really want to improve your health and vitality you need to take it up a level and include some of nature’s Super Foods into the range of raw foods you include in your daily diet. There’s a reason why some of nature’s bounty have been declared Super Foods – and it’s not just because someone, somewhere, wants to make something sound fancier than it really is!

It’s because there really are foods out there that do have some super-sized nutritional benefits, including some goodies that we just can’t get any other way because they only come from whole foods and cannot be artificially duplicated.

choosing organic foodRaw Super Foods really are as good as they sound, but the problem can be figuring out which foods to have, how much to have, and in what combination. Plus it can be difficult for some to stick with a raw foods diet, for others it can be downright boring, and it takes a lot of time and work. Who has got that?

Which brings me to our – CELL Infuse Organic Super Greens. Developed and produced in Australia from organic and gluten-free ingredients, I am incredibly proud of the work I have put into designing the best super greens product made from whole ingredients that I could imagine.

organic super greens drink for healthA high dose blend of eight Super Foods, CELL Infuse Organic Super Greens will give your body a potent dose of Spirulina, Chlorella, Moringa, Maca, Acai, Camu Camu, Wheat Grass and Cacao. Consider this your magic potion, designed to detox and nourish your body’s systems – Endocrine, Digestive, Immune, Nervous, Skeletal, Reproductive , Muscular and Circulatory – all in one easy drink.

Instead of spending your time washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables, you simply mix a serving of organic greens powder with water … or your favorite juice or smoothie, and drink it. Then, presto, you get the nutrition of the raw foods!

It saves time, as well as all the trouble of shopping and preparing for you.

There are so many benefits to the nutrient-dense and protein rich CELL Infuse Organic Super Greens. Just for starters one serve a day can help you:

  • Lose weight
  • Lower cholesterol
  • Normalize blood pressure and sugar levels
  • Help eliminate fatigue
  • Lift mood and energy levels
  • Balance hormones
  • Strengthen digestive and immune systems
  • And even help reverse failing vision!

So what’s the difference between CELL Infuse Organic Super Greens and other products on the market? Two words: organic and potent.

Organic: because there are good reasons for avoiding nasty chemicals, among them that some chemicals actually prevent your body from being able to process the good stuff!

Potent: because unlike other products on the market we have gone with substance over size. You won’t find a ridiculously long list of ingredients in such trace amounts they are virtually useless.

Instead we went for a potent mix of Eight nutrient-dense superfoods, chosen for their combined ability to really make a difference to your body and mind.

CELL Infuse Super GreensI put a huge amount of time and effort into developing CELL Infuse Organic Super Greens because I wanted a product that I could truly believe in and I know how little spare time most people have – even when it is so important for our health. Part of the long development process for CELL Infuse Organic Super Greens was ensuring we made a greens powder that was not only nutritious, but also delicious. Which brings me to yet another reason why I love our greens, all of our taste testers and cutting-edge formulation paid off and I am very proud to say we have a made a magic potion that tastes great!

Try CELL Infuse Organic Super Greens for yourself, I bet you won’t believe how good your body can feel!

A cure for your chocolate addiction? Eat Chocolate!

Did you know that eating chocolate can actually help you reduce your craving for sweets and LOSE belly fat?

organic dark chocolateThe right kind of chocolate contains a special compound called theobromine, a wonderful compound shown to have some unique fat loss properties. It actually helps with appetite control and suppression! So you’ll likely find you crave less sweets and aren’t as hungry just by eating a square or two… two pretty solid benefits if you have a sweet tooth or not!

Moreover, theobromine has also been shown to mobilize fatty acids from fat cells to the blood stream to be burned as energy – just like caffeine – but without the stimulatory effect on the nervous system and those nasty “jittery” feelings that some people experience with caffeine.

And perhaps the biggest benefit of theobromine was discovered in a study published in The Journal of Clinical Nutrition in 2005 where researchers found significant insulin sensitivity benefits associated with the naturally occurring theobromine found in high cacao dark chocolate.

Now, before you run out to grab a bar of your favourite childhood chocolate bar, stop!

I’m not talking about your typical convenience store chocolate bar here…you must look for dark chocolate that is at least 70%+ cacao (check the label). You see, dark chocolate that is more than 70% cacao is where you will find that wonderful theobromine.

daughter and grandchildrenOne of the sweetest – pardon the pun – things about this news is there are so many easy and delicious ways to introduce the right chocolate into your diet! My husband and I have just enjoyed a few days soaking up all the love with our youngest daughter and her family. We all live such full lives – but I’m big on keeping our emotional tank well fueled and I know that keeping a balance between family and work is hugely important.

But that doesn’t mean there wasn’t some time for chocolate! One of my favourite no-fuss ways of enjoying some high cocoa dark chocolate is to share it with some loved ones – simply to grab a bar of raw organic chocolate, break into squares, and serve with some organic nuts, dried fruit, herbal tea – and a whole lot of love!

I nearly always have a block of chocolate in our fridge and love to indulge whenever my taste buds say so. Next time you’re in the mood for a little something sweet, grab a square of dark chocolate – and don’t feel guilty!!

Raw Organic Cacao is another great way to get the bountiful benefits of theobromine and you can get that good old chocolatey deliciousness into your diet guilt-free, just good old chocolatey deliciousness!

Raw organic cacao has:

  1. healthy chocolate40 Times the Antioxidants of Blueberries
  2. Full of Magnesium for a Healthy Heart & Brain
  3. Highest Plant-Based Source of Iron
  4. More Calcium than Cow’s Milk
  5. A Natural Mood Elevator and Anti-Depressant
  6. Organic Cacao is also one of the ingredients in CELL Infuse Super Greens
  7. There are unique Fat Loss Properties in Cacao

For me cacao is not a special occasion treat because I like to look after myself every day. In my protein smoothie each morning I blend mineralized water, organic oat or coconut milk, protein powder along with a little alkalized cacao, half banana, berries, a little coconut oil and flaxseed. I like to mix up the variety with a little acai powder, nuts or camu camu.

These Cacao Balls are another very simple way to get some raw cacao into your diet.

Cacao & Date Bliss Balls1 cup pitted Medjool dates
1/4 cup raw cacao
1/2 cup organic shredded coconut, plus extra for rolling.
1 cup raw walnuts
1 spoonful Organic coconut oil (optional)

Toss these ingredients in to a food processor and whizz until mixture is like a dough then roll into small balls. Roll into the coconut and store in fridge.

Just as important as chocolate, is always remembering to say thank-you, so thank you for your loyalty. One thing I really do enjoy doing is picking up the phone and hearing how you are going with the products. It’s so nice to hear how many of you are happy with the results that you are seeing with your skincare regime

So – Happy Wednesday to you – and enjoy that chocolate!
